Last Friday was my girlfriend Nat’s 27th b’day and I decided to surprise her with a quick three day trip to Tasmania to celebrate. We stayed two hours north-east of Hobart, just outside a tiny little town named Swansea.
Our home-away-from home for the weekend was a cosy little log-fired cottage by the sea at Piermont Retreat, which we both quickly decided that we’d be happy to take up permanent residence in if the opportunity should ever arise.
Apart from your typical R&R activities like fire-building, winter beach walks, wine-drinking, wine-drinking and more wine-drinking, we did plenty of unbelievably beautiful walks through Freycinet National Park to check out the stunning coastline that is littered by the likes of Wineglass Bay, Sleepy Bay and Mount Amos.
Here are some shots from our weekend wanderings in the incredible Tasmanian bush.
Enjoy.
