Each year Australia is one of the first countries in the world to tick over to 12:00am midnight in the new year, an exciting feeling that can’t be replicated.

We’re lucky enough to have a friend who lives smack-bang in the middle of the NYE festivities on Sydney harbour, so we were literally showered in fireworks for the night. The display lived up to all expectations, and then some, combining boats, jet-skis lasers and a mother-load of fireworks! Throwing in a bunch of friends, laughter and a few bottles of gin, I feel like we really kicked off 2014 with a bang.
